Baxter Village Wins National Recognition
for Excellence In Sales and Marketing
February, 21 2002
Baxter Village, a new home neighborhood in Fort Mill, South
Carolina, moved into the national spotlight with an award
recognizing the company's "Smart Move" advertising
campaign at the Ninth Annual National Sales and Marketing
Awards, held at the National Association of Home Builders
Show in Atlanta on Friday, February 8, 2002. Known to industry
insiders as "The Nationals", the awards program
is sponsored by the NAHB's National Sales and Marketing Council
to honor the nation's best advertising and marketing efforts
within the industry. A panel of nine judges, themselves award-winning
building industry professionals, selected the winners from
over 900 entries from across the country.
The recipient of the 2002 Silver Award, Baxter Village's "Smart
Move" campaign took an educational approach to marketing
the strategically located community to potential homebuyers.
The ads focused on the excellence of the Fort Mill School
District, including the elementary school located within the
Baxter community itself. The campaign was designed and created
by The Jewell Agency of Charlotte, a full-service firm that
handles all advertising, marketing and public relations for
Baxter Village.
Located off Interstate 77 at Exit 85, the Village of Baxter
is a mixed-use neighborhood being developed by Clear Springs
Development Company. The 1,033-acre development has 1,500
homesites planned and includes an on-site elementary school,
a public library, retail shops and offices, with a medical
complex. Further retail and commercial development is planned
for the near future.
